The Comprehensive Group has been partnering with schools since 1985, providing occupational and physical therapists and speech/language pathologists to more than 100 schools throughout Illinois. We also work with private schools, early intervention programs, hospital-based programs and outpatient pediatric clinics. Our Partners
With 40+ years of combined experience, our team of pediatric managers is able to develop a highly customized program that complies with each school district's policies, guidelines and needs. We provide full- and part-time employees, and help clients manage increased volume in caseloads as the year progresses. For hospital and outpatient programs, we provide interim staff during school holidays, vacation breaks and summer breaks, as well as on an ongoing basis as necessary.

Our therapists arrive ready to work, as we provide in-depth school-based and pediatric skills orientation and training to all of our staff. We offer ongoing supervision and mentoring, and conduct regular on-site visits and meetings to answer questions, foster growth and guarantee your satisfaction. And to ensure our therapists are current on treatment methods and theories of practice, we host monthly pediatric study groups.

We offer clients a wide variety of services, with varying levels of management and involvement. Our pediatric services include:

Our pediatric therapy team enjoys the benefits of a pediatric setting and practice, with all the support of therapist-focused organization behind them. We are the largest local therapist- owned and -operated company offering pediatric/school-based therapy. We strive to meet therapists' personal and professional needs by providing placement opportunities throughout Illinois, ongoing support and mentoring, comprehensive benefits and flexible scheduling.

Our experienced managers act as a liaison between schools and our therapists to expedite services, facilitate dialogue and find solutions. Regular on-site visits and mentoring ensure therapists receive all the guidance and support they need. Continuing education, internal specialty training and monthly pediatric study groups provide professional development, networking opportunities and peer support.

Our unique mentorship program is designed to support new graduates or those re-entering the work force as they make the transition to (or back to) pediatric clinicians. Each new therapist is assigned a mentor, who provides structured one-on-one training and support with the ultimate goal of successfully launching their pediatric career.

We offer therapists true flexibility, allowing you to work as many or as few days as desired. Pediatric therapists can work school hours and have summers off or be cross-trained in other Comprehensive settings when school is not in session—it all depends on personal needs and individual goals.
